The New 45 Featuring jazz standards by Oscar Peterson and Clark Terry, with a wink at Benny Goodman and Harry Belafonte, The New 45 is a charming duet not without comical resonance. Called “juicy and rambunctious,” The New 45 flows from one glimpse of life, language and dance to another, breeding enthusiasm onstage and off.
The dancing alternates between solos and duets with studied nonchalance. Though The New 45 references both vintage jazz greats and illustrious choreographers, the piece is decidedly novel and refreshing.
